Any interest in a single bevel one piece two blade?
« on: August 25, 2011, 01:39:00 PM »
I spoke with Jeff at VPA and he could make a single bevel 2-blade in much the same style as their Penetrator head. If there is enough interest I will order 100 packs on a Pre-Sale basis and make them available. I will only be able to order one weight and one bevel. If you are interested please let me know the weight you would prefer.

I'd be interested in a 200 gr glue-on single bevel true 3:1 MA blade that would work with left wing fletch.

Stan:  I think there would be alot of interest, I know I am and i beleive there were several questions about single bevel heads in the Peneterator introduction thread. But your never gonna satisfy everyone with just one head, and the weight would depend on if it was a glue on or screw in head. Personally give me a 250 gr. screw in head right bevel.  RW

200 grain glue on or screw in either works for me. I'd buy 1/2 dozen

What kind of price are we talking about. As well are we talking three pack or six pack.

200gr glue on allows for a wide range of set ups. 200 if put on wood, 225 to 245 if used with aluminium adpt. and 300 to 325 if used with steel adpt.

As for bevel? Either will get you started. Might even try offering it without either bevel. Grinding the bevel you want isn't that hard.

I would go for a 150-160 gr glue-on right bevel 3:1 two blade head. That way if someone wanted to use an adaptor they could pump up the weight for carbons or aluminums. Just seems like you'd cover more needs. Whether those who shoot wood shafts or those who need a screw-in head.

Looks like the glue on is the early favorite.  I'll have to run that by Jeff and see what he thinks.  If not, I'll probably have to go with a 200 - 250 grain screw in.

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

200 grain glue on, or 300 grain screw in, either bevel.  If they come sharp and the price is decent I just might order fifty or a hundred and never buy broadheads again.  I would prefer them to be made to the Grizzly El Grande specs.
