Kansas bunny stomp
« on: August 26, 2011, 08:12:00 AM »
Who would be interested in a bunny hunt; say in late Jan? I want to post this now just to see who might be interested and so I don't forget with the excitement of redeploying home sometime soon. I think the Milford lake or Tuttle Creek lakes would be good bunny ground and lots of public hunting. I could provide the hot coco. Heck I am blessed with a deer lunch would be on me too. I know it is really early yet but I think dropping the bug in yalls year now might get some of you thinking about it.
Happy hunting and God Bless,
Kelly

A couple of years ago we did one at the north end of Perry near Valley Falls. It was a blast. I don't remember who cooked up all the Venison that cold morning, but it was melt in your mouth delicious! Count me in, unless something come up I'm not expecting.
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

Well then after I get back, say in late November we can try and pin a date. One more was all I was needing.

Sign me up twice!!

I was at the Bunny Stomp Ksbowman mentioned and he is right - it was a blast.

Please keep me in the loop.  If I don't have a shootable bow, I will serve as a Human Beagle.

Me me me me me me me!  I try and get back to visit up there often.  I'll come up the excuse of going to a Cats' game or something and head up there then.  Be good to get to The Nocking Point again too.

Sounds like a lot of fun.  I'll be there if it fits into my work schedule, heck I might even take a vacation day if it turns out to be on a weekend I'm scheduled to work.

Thanks,
Huck

Well this should be fun, when state side I live in the small town of Riley between both of those lakes. Now the pressure is on me and my son to get a deer when I get back.

Someone has to drive Ben so count Me in also.

Hopefully the Rabbit numbers are better there than they have been on the eastern part of the state.

Bretto, I don't know of anyone who hunts them at all around here. I guess the bobcats and yotes keep the down but I have seen lots of bunnies and tree rats, I bet some will be taken.
If you did not have to buy a FT Riley license I would say we would go there, I know there are lots of bunnies, squirrels, yotes, cats and birds. Not to mention deer and elk, but those will be out of season buy then.
I hope to see all of you there, it will be great to share a camp fire with other hunters for  a change.

I've always had a great time with TradGanger's. I'm sure this won't be any different regardless of the game taken.

Keep us posted on dates and have a safe return home.
