I will see if I can get Mike from"the Nocking Point" (sponser here) to tag along with me.        If anyone needs any supplies he carries, I will start a spreadsheet if needed.

28 Jan?  Sounds fun to me if I can get away.  I need to get some more GL from Mike anyway.  It's a hassle to order it with it being flamable and all.

Well I hope it is a sign of things to come but I have been jumping bunnies on the Fort where I deer hunt. I just hope the other public areas off the Fort are holding them. If so it should be really good.

Well I have a large deer roast that I will put on the smoker for the hunt but since it is from a big ole rutting buck, the burgers might be a better Ideal.

I have been seeing a lot of bunnies around, I just need to go out and check the areas we can hunt. Hope all are having as good a season I am.

My schedule is changing. It looks like I will be able to make it. Is this still planned for tuttle creek?

Are there a campground available or is this a day hunt? What's everyone's plans?

I passed on a big bunny last week near Valley Falls.  10 yards.  I hope the yotes don't get him.  He was a big one.

Well there are camp grounds but I was thinking a day hunt. Plus if you just need a place to park a camper I have plenty of room, and some floor space.

Tuttle or Milford, I may try and get some private property. I will try and scout out the areas in Jan just to see where I find the most bunnies. I seen 3 bunnies today in fact.

I will throw a deer roast on the smoker, for lunch.

If it's around Tuttle or Milford there is camping avaliable.  Bring a tent/camper/tarp, etc.  For what it's worth, Pot 1 over in Pot county has some rabbits on it.  There are also several WIHAs (specifically the one over in north central Pot Co) that will still be open that are good sized and have some rabbits that I've chased before.  And the occasional Prairie Chicken too.

If I get to make it up from Arkansas I'll camp somewhere and make a couple days of it.  However it goes, I won't be hurting for stuff to do up in the Manhattan/Randolph/Wamego/Westmoreland block.

I just took the 27th off so I'll have plenty of time to get there and get comfortable. Let me know if you need me to bring anything.

Timber Creek at Milford is a good place for camping that comes to mind....I have had deer camp there a few times. Minutes from public hunting.

Just throwing out ideas.

It's not really my cup of tea anymore....but if anyone is crazy enough to hang out with my younger brother....you could end up sleeping on the sidewalks of aggieville!!!

Ok Here is what I was thinking. We meet up at my place. I live in the Riley so I am between milford and tuttle. My neighbor is a game warden and I have him on the look out for good bunny populations also.

I will get out after the rifle deer season and walk some of the public areas that I know of. Heck we could hit milford in the am eat lunch and the hit some of the tuttle areas.

If any of you have a camper and want to park it along the side of my house I have room. If in a pinch you want to sleep on the couch let me know.

I will put a roast on the smoker for lunch.

I am a fly by the seat kind of person on things like this, so I will come up with a loose tentative plan. It can and will most likely change once we have first contact with the bunnies.

any suggestions, questions or must put them up here.
