Congrats, fella

I'm jealous of the amount of bears and large game that a lot of you guys have, especially in the Northwest.

I need to track down a bear here in Arkansas, but they aren't all that plentiful. I have seen about two tracks on the farm in the last ten or so years, but I haven't seen any in person.

My dad claims there is a bear that he saw eating his pears out of his tree, but it must have been small because the branches aren't thick and I'd imagine they'd have given way for an adult bear.

Great first kill, congratulations!

What broadhead were you using and what did the recovery tell you about your shot? Where did you hit her at and what vitals did you take out?  :campfire:

Where do you live at in Missouri?

Hey Gatekeeper, I used a Magnus 125 gr. two-blade broadhead.  The recovery was short in distance but long on time due to the ridiculously thick vegetation.  It looked like I took out the liver and the off-side lung, she went a little less than 100 yards.

Thanks for the reply. Camden Point is 6 miles north of Platte City along I29. We live about 35 miles north of downtown KC.

Very nice! Thats the best video footage I've seen in a long time and I believe you smoked her just in time. A few times it looked like she knew right where you were.Well executed and congrats.
