A Gift From Jack Kempf....pics
« on: September 01, 2011, 07:50:00 PM »
After years of dealing Jack's bows and owning a Stealth T/D...my last request was for a one piece longbow. The bow arrived early today....it's Jack's Trophy Hunter Longbow...58" 55# at 27"...57# at 28".

Riser is Cocobolo, Limbs are Yew under clear glass. This is the most prettiest yew I have seen. Rich amber color (pics don't do justice) and the Cocobolo looks great. I ran about 30 arrows out of it tonight....wow....can't wait for the fall...

Cocobolo riser with Antler thumb rest

The Kempf Trademark Antler Arrow head

I'll give Jack a pass on his spelling...

Strung and ready to hunt....

Joe,
That sure is nice, puts me in mind of the Schafer / Wensel story when Paul gave Barry a bow, had his name mispelled, "Barry Bensel" I believe. Makes it that much more special I suppose and unique. Been thinking of getting a longbow from Jack when I come up in the spring. Let me know how she shoots please sir ...

Many thanks,
Lanier
