Dave: I want to see a pic like this of you and your bear. If you want details go to the Hunters Point Guide Service thread...page 2. I think you would shoot one like this whether there was a barrel there or not.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

I saw that Bill, that would do nicely, thank you.

Today I hunted our original bait site from last year, it has easy access and is active. This is the bait from my stand, 14 yards from the bait....

This bait had at least three different bears on it last year, one a dark snouted bear I named Yogi.  His picture is on the first page, and I would love to shoot him.  He hasn't shown himself yet, but this bear has hit the bait two days straight and I don't think I would hesitate shooting
him......

Tonight ended up being a bust as the skies opened in a torrential downpour an hour before dark and chased us out of there.  I'll be back at it Wednesday, my son has his first High School JV football game tomorrow and I can't miss that.

Up at Eldon's a bear that is as high as the bait barrel is a mature bear. If  you get that one, David, you will have done really well. I'de shoot him in a minute...no hesitations at all.

Great pics Dave. I'm no bear expert, but those all look like shooter bears to me. I know one thing, judging by the times on the camera, I'd be taking some days off of work. You got me pumped now. Good luck!

I'm right with you guys, going to take a few days next week and spend a lot of time on stand. Looks like rain here for the next two days so Friday will be my next day out.......really want a chance at one of the bears on the "Black Barrel" bait.....

Good luck and keep us posted!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.
