I've hunted with a compound for 25 years from a tree stand. I use a climber and I'm finding the climbing aid / seat is getting in the way now that I've started using a longbow. what is the best stand for traditional bow hunters and how long have you been using it? I prefer a climber.

I use the Lone Wolf hand climber. Works good for me. Rod

I hunt with recurve and longbow and have tried several of the popular name brand climbers.  Lone Wolf climber is the only one that worked for me as far as climbers go.
It's not what you kill but how you hunt...

i love my summit treestands I used to use the goliath for hunting, but since i shoot recurves now the bar gets in my way. So last year my brother let me use his summit bushmaster and it was great it had an open front and was about 5lbs lighter than my golliath.  Plus the bushmaster has the side bars to help you climb. You may also want to look at the open shot from summit it has no bars and it has a flip up seat so you can stand closer to tree and get a shot. I called summit and you can order just the top section so thats what I'm gonna do I hope this helped thanks brad
