Anybody know what the starting brace is for a 66" Abbott longbow? Is Steve still making bows?
Thanks for any help.

SCATTERSHOT, I've had 3 Abbotts. All good bows. Steve is good to work with and really tries to please his customers. Yeah, the number posted above worked for me fairly recently. Best time for me to reach Steve has been about 9 pm. Steve said he is no longer going to the shows out East and that his wait time is 2 and a half to 3 months. His yew now comes from Cananda, he said. I think he said he gets $395 for his bows, but am not sure about that.

I like Steve's simple, elegant design. Pure longbow. His 64" has more reflex/deflex. I had one yew bow that was a beaut.

One bow. One arrow. My ideal.

This was an older post, thought I'd raise it up to the top.  Was wondering if Steve Abbott has a new shop yet, what his contact info is and whether he makes sleeved takedowns.            Been looking for a 2-piece TD around 50# and compared to the popular 3-piece bows they definately seem to be scarce (especially with a sleeve) regardless of the maker.

I've had two of Steve's onepiece bows (still own one) and for the money they really are a topnotch mild R/D bow in the D-style.  Never heard of a sleeved takedown Abbott, but if I could locate one of those I think it might be a 'best buy' in longbows.

Anyone know where Steve is nowadays?

I have a Abbott coming on a trade next week,

I have not heard that he has a new shop or heard anybody running into him, was hoping to see him at the Chamberlin ranch shoot but it was cancelled.

I did hear that a bow shop in the LA area, has a batch of his bows for sale, not sure of the location or name(not much help, huh)

Awesome bows
