I'll be out there but I am not ready at all this year. Work and life really put a damper on my pre season prep.

It'll be weeks at best before I'm ready. The storm cost me 2 weeks of prep time. I prefer Oct/Nov hunting anyway.

Good luck fellas, and be safe out there!

George, what a shame!   "[dntthnk]"  Opening day you could have hunted your spot behind the Golf Course. Zone 6 opened early season this year.

I'm all set.  Saturday will be my first trad deer hunt.  I've been shooting every day since May, and I haven't even looked at the compound.  Haven't been this excited about the opener in years.  Good luck to all of you!

Doing Great Tom, Got a canoe to run some rivers and lakes looking for deer and hogs. 2 weeks ago I took the wife down the Colorado river and saw about 10 nice size deer, 2 bucks with nice racks.

Been lots of wild fires around here, but I'm hoping for some rain soon to wet everything down to get the deer/hogs moving in the archery opening (Oct 1, 2011).
