Howatt bow information help
« on: September 06, 2011, 12:59:00 PM »
I have a Howatt Palomar bow that i inherited from my grandpa, i have stored it for the last 10 years. I know nothing about it, it has some markings on it and i really need help with the info. on the inside lower limb it says howatt with a pic of a horse and rider, jockey, on it, under the pic it says yakima, wash. then palomar beneath that. Above the pic is the following: 34#@28.. , beneath that it says EXP 644.69..  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance. I want to start using the bow, it needs a new string and i am new to traditional archery and have no idea about the type of string and accessories availabe. is this a good bow to use?

Wow. I just got that off the net. I used the Yahoo Yellow pages. Try a different directory or possibly their website. Sorry for the bad information. They are still in Yakima as far as I know.
