My ILF longbow
« on: September 07, 2011, 10:32:00 AM »
Hi!
I just switched some bows with my good friend Nathan aka "buejeger" and in the switch I received a pair of almost brand new Dryad legend- ACS limbs that shows 57@28 on a 19" riser.

I have a beautiful dymonwood Border triple carbon spine riser with buff horns, a real nice high grip and good and stabile in the hand.

So I paired these top bowyer products and what a match     :bigsmyl:

To say this awesome longbow is fast would be an understatement...
my specs:
65-66@ ca 31"

645 grain easton fmj

185 fps   :bigsmyl:

It`s dead silent, smooth and the best part...I really thought I pulled ca 60# so this limbs from Dryad is highly recommendable

Yes this setup is one of the better bows I`ve had in my "stable"

And I like the idea and the possibility to change the limbs from recurve to longbow with the same riser. Gives me a good well known grip on any limbs:)

For hunting I guess I would change the point from 150 grains as today and use a silver flame in 210 grains, that would give me a speed in the 175`ish and a arrow weight of ca 705, and that will really penetrate the hogs    :D

In fact I`ll try that setup tomorrow.

Very nice rig .  .. indeed!!

The ACS limbs seem to like the Border riser.  That's good to know.

Good Luck on the hogs!!

http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z473/ryanwhitaker/001.jpg   Margly, this is my ACS ILF combo.
Morrison riser,Bob did the skins. 47-51 lber.
Need a skinnier string though,I think it will
perform a bit quieter with one    ;)
