Hey guys,
Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. My name is Scott and im from Northeast PA. Im an avid outdoorsman, especially hunting. I have been dying to get into trad archery but college has me on a tight budget. Im hoping to learn a lot here and hopefully find a deal on a nice setup to get going...or better yet, if anyone has one they dont use anymore and would donate it that would be appreciated beyond belief. Ill pay shipping if your not in my area

take it easy

Welcome to TradGang PAnative. In my opinion you're in a great place to learn the ways of traditional archery.  There's so much information around here it's mind numbing at times.  Take the time to do some research and ask questions. You will get great answers to anything you need to know.

As with most hobbies it seems, cost is a major factor in getting set up properly.  However, you don't need to spend a fortune to get a good traditional setup at this point.  There is a ton of great used equipment here too.  I've bought bows and other gear from some great folks here.

So sit back and enjoy the site.  Make sure you read the Howard Hill Bug thread.  Yes you must read all 300 pages before you ask any questions. Seriously though, it's a great thread if you wish to know anything and everything about shooting Hill style bows.  Welcome to the addiction.

Where in NE PA are you located?  I spend a lot of time in North Jersey if you ever want to get your hands on a bow or two.
"...and last of all I leave to you the thrill of life and the joy of youth that throbs a moment in a well bent bow, then leaps forth in the flight of an arrow." - Saxton Pope
