A Rock and a Hard Place
« on: September 12, 2011, 05:34:00 PM »
I decided to move my trail camera back to a place where I had it a few weeks ago! I had put out a Trophy Rock mineral block and I was interested in seeing if the deer had been using it while I was gone.

As I walked up the trail to the camera site I notice the rock was gone! I kept looking around but could not find it! I knew the deer could not
have eaten it all in that short period of time so I figured the landowner must have picked it up while she mowed the fields edge.

On the way out I asked the lady of the house (she is 80 years young) if she noticed a mineral block along the fields edge when she mowed last time?

Her face grimaced as she preceded to tell me that she saw something lying there and hollered at Abner to, ”come look at this thing”!

She said, we couldn’t figure out what it was! I know it wasn’t there last time I mowed!  We decided it must be a meteorite! She went on to say that Abner actually tasted it and it was salty! Yep he said, it must be a meteorite! I’m going to have this thing analyzed!

I then started thinking, maybe if the deer kept eating those meteorites they will glow in the dark and I can hunt them at night! Yes!

It has been a long time since I wet my pants laughing so hard!

That is funny as heck! Leave a blow up doll out next time they will keep it thinking its a weather balloon from NASA.

difference in the world, but the Marines don’t have that problem.
