SBD Skinny Strings
« on: September 13, 2011, 10:18:00 PM »
Just wanted to post about my experience with Pierre and SBD bow strings.

First: Pierre walked me through every single step of getting the correct string for my bow. All the way down to personally calling the bowyer for me, to confirm measurements, etc.

Second: When I made a measurement error, Pierre did not hold me at fault but rather immediately sent me a new string that would work with the correct measurement. My mistake, which he gladly fixed for free.

Finally: The string is amazing. My bow feels like a completely different beast. I strung up my bow, set a double brass nock point, and fired 4 arrows at 15 yards. The first thing I noticed was the complete absence of sound minus the arrow hitting the target. The second thing I noticed was my improved accuracy.

All 4 arrows went into the bullseye, blew through my foam target and into the 1/4" plywood backstop BEHIND the 2 1/2 foot thick foam target.

I highly recommend trying out this man's product. I am generally a very skeptical person, but I was proven wrong. I am placing an order for 2 more strings immediately!!!

Can not find a better person to deal with!!

i like the 6 strand strings alot. very nice and ill keep using them.

thats cool he replaced yours.  the bowyer gave me the wrong specs and as a result the string was to short. tried to trade it back for a different length but no go. o well wasnt his fault and i eventually sold it and got most my money back.

I own four eight strand SBD string but only three good ones. I'm down to three as one broke close to the loop under the wool wrap which I asked to be installed to help with noise. The rest of the string looked great and there was no warning at all. The string did not break completely, it still was holding on by one bundle but it sure was spooky as I have never had a string break before. The string does perform but I most admit I'm looking for another to try.

I'll agree, great product and great service.  I had a sting break without warning (not ans SBD) It happens.  I plan to change them more regularly.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

SBD strings are outstanding and all I use any more on my fast-flight bows. Pierre and Jean-Pierre are salt-of-the-earth people who stand behind their work. The craftsmanship they put into each one of their strings is second to none. I cannot say enough good things about them. First-class all the way.
