Well wasnt planning on hunting this morning, had PT on my knee at 9:30, but a charley horse at 6:50 had me up and walking was the only cure. I got my stuff together, drove to my favorite Blind, and after about 10 minutes, rain stopped. I walked to the blind, got set up by 7:15, did not expect to see much, but an extra hour or so hunting beats not hunting at all. 8:20 decided to give it about 5 minutes, get the house, shower again and head to PT. About the time I decided that, here comes 9 hens, 7 young poults form this year, about #12, heading for my food plot. They ease by my blind, from 6-20 feet! I wait till they are all nearly by, and shoot the last one in the back as she is walking over the hill, 14feet from me! She rolled about 20 feet and flopped a few times, easy recovery. Time was ticking, ran an got her, got to the house for 1 hero pic, showered and was a just fem minutes late. Mudd I will send you a pic to your email on your profile, if you would post it for me. I hope this is not unlucky, my 13th trad archery turkey! Just thought I would share.
