Just got back from vacation in maine.Stopped at LL.Bean and picked up a pair of there hunting boots.Anybody use these for hunting or stalking?
Seems they would be good for that.If so what do you treat the leather uppers with?

Love my maine hunting shoe for easing around quietly.  Just be careful on steep slopes with leaves.

I love mine, too.  I rub some mink oil into the leather before hunting season.  Good boots, but like 3Feathers says, be careful on slippery slopes.

They are a great bowhunting boot. When I lived in the East,I wore them for years,an uninsulated pair for bowhunting and an insulated version with Vibram soles for Winter.

These days I wear Schnees as they are made just down the road.

Great boot.  I have a couple pair that I wear all the time.  A little slick on wet leaves.

I've been using LL Bean hunting boots for 40 or more years(fishing boots first) and ready for a resoleing on my latest pair. 14"ers for me with speed lace hooks.
