New BamaBows Expedition Hunter
« on: September 22, 2011, 08:06:00 PM »
My new Bama Expi came today and I've gotta say Nate hit it out of the park again! I've been Lovin' his straight limbed bows for awhile now and just had to try his Expedition.

As always Nate's work is top-notch. The fit and finish is superb. She's 58" and draws 53@27. He hit weight on her perfectly for me. The Riser is dark stained Curly Maple with an accent of Boo. I love the dark look of her, all serious and deadly.

The limbs are 2 lams of Bamboo and 2 lams of Yew, with black glass. Overlays are also dark Curly Maple.

Nate's carbon sleeve fits like a glove, very nicely done. The grip fits like I was there for sizing, perfect.

I had just enough light to take a few pics and put a few arrows thru her. Awesome! This bow really spits an arrow. I tried a few 530 and 580 grain arrows and she was really rocking my target.

Even with a bare string she only had a minor bit of string buzz, which will disappear with a couple small silencers. No hand shock at all.

Thank you Nate, Hats-Off to you for one awesome bow! I highly recommend this bow to anyone looking for a high performing Hybrid longbow.

P.S.  This is the first time I had to use a screw-driver and not a knife to get to a bow after shipping. Nate ships his bows in a sturdy crate/box. Well Done!

Very nice!  I love the look of his bows a lot, and I'm a sucker for curly maple.

I am an Expedition owner! I admit it. I love mine.  It is "all that and a bag of chips".

Congrats on a fine looking bow. If it shoots half as good as it looks, you have a shooter.

Nate's a great guy to work with on a bow, and he really stands behind his work. He just had his first child a couple weeks ago, he's the proud PaPa of a little girl. He says he's working on a crew of bowyer's to help him out. Lol!

I am very seriously considering a Bama for goat and sheep hunting.  I'm liking the royal, prefer a classic D shape bow, but that is one dang sexy bow!

Here is my Expedition. One piece, no leather on the riser, Elk Limb Tips.

Shoots real fast and flat with no hand shock.

Very quiet.
