ground blind?

This is my first year hunting trad only.  I am wanting to know if I put a ground blind out, can I hunt it that day or the next, if it is brushed in good.  

Also what ground blind should I get, I usually hunt from treestands, but I had stomach surgery and it hurts to try to climb trees   :(

With deer I have better luck with natural blinds. For me a pop up needs to be in the area awhile. Just a stool and some back cover can be very effective.

I would rather be in a leafy suit or a ghillie any day.

ok, then what kind of leafy suit should I look at?

I have a realtree pro series. Tried others but they were kinda loud when it got cold. I cut the leaves off the inner bow arm.

I like it because I can leave from work and just throw it over my clothes.

My ASAT leafy suit is great and would only think a ghillie would be better. Lots of game within 10 yards if you do your part. Move fast or get winded...

I have found that ASAT works better out west, I have used it in both the North east and out west. In Texas I had a yote less than a yard from me, never knew I was there. Had deer here in the east 15 yards and got busted, wind in my face.

Everything has it's place, try predator in green.

you can hunt a blind the same day as when you put it up,you just need to brush it in very good and not have to any black holes...took my daughter out saturday evening set the blind up and killed a deer 40 minutes later...

I have put up a BIG pop up right in the middle of rows of mature red pines.
This thing stood out like a sore thumb.

Took most of my archery deer ( compound days ) from that spot.

It is better to brush it in, leave it there a week and all.
But it isn't NEEDED.

It perks their senses a bit.
Just sit still and hopefully they won't smell you.

For my first deer hunt I made a natural blind with some trees surrounding an elevated place near a spring. I can't see a need for a portable blind unless trees and bushes are sparse in the area.
