Michigans season starts tomorrow morning, and I just put together my "kinda" traditional lunch for tomorrow. My Dad and I did this on my first opening day, 36 deer seasons ago. We did it with beef that year, but the meal in the pic is about 1/2 a backstrap, some potatoes, onions, and carrots. Olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic. I will put this in a fire (wrapped in foil) about 10:00 tomorrow morning. I have all day to hunt tomorrow, nothing else to do
but a touch too windy. Oh well, we hunt on the days we can, right?
Good luck all, be safe, shoot straight!
