Centaur Bow.
« on: October 02, 2011, 02:11:00 PM »
I brought this bow from a member (Gufunk) on this forum. As a newbie starting traditional this bow is so easy to shoot. I don't get tired and it is fast. 55lbs @ 28" 60" bow. With my draw length it should be around 58lbs. I just want to share this with you guys. This forum has helped me so much and want to thank everyone.

You made an excellent choice to start traditional archery with this Centaur.  I acquired 2 Centaurs from this site (Killdear's & Larry's), and they're both amazing.  Good shooting to you.

well, you just went and ruined your shot at becoming a bowaholic...because very few bows will meet the standards of the one you already have.

That sure is a beauty. Can we see more of the riser? What is that wood?

I do not know what wood and finish it is. Gufunk delete the for sale description. The grip doesn't fit my hands perfectly since it was made for medium hands and I have large monster hands. LOL. But I adapt and grip using the top two fingers and thumb. Palm heel fits perfect. However, I just don't find it to be a issue. As I shoot the bow more and more each day my hands fits in place and the grip no longer becomes a issue. I can imagine if the bow was custom built for my hands and size it would be the perfect bow.

Hey guys, just stumbled onto this thread. The bow is a Chimera and is actually the bow in my new brochure I drew up just after I had hernia surgery. It is a bacote riser with red maple accents and the black accents are my proprietary engineered material. The limbs are bamboo, XTL, and Coffee Onyx Spectra wood for a nice two tone black and tan varigated look. Hope you enjoy the bow!
