ARROW 2011 is in the books.
« on: October 03, 2011, 10:36:00 AM »
Us Arkansas boys (and, yes, I still consider myself that) had a great time at the second annual ARROW bowhunt this past weekend. "FriendsCallMePAC" did a great job by organizing and got everyone rounded up to go hunt in the beautiful Ouachita mountains.

   Arkansas forum link to thread

8 people showed up and had a great weekend of camping, fellowship, hunting, story telling, and eating.    :campfire:

Deer and turkey were seen by all (even though turkey season was closed again this year) but only Bolong got a shot. Belly hair was the result.

Here are the pictures I took. I'm sure others will post up theirs, too.

Bolong shooting my Shrew. I think he will be giving the classifieds a lot of views in the near future.

Oh, and on the way out of the park this happened. I was able to hook to it and get it out of the road so traffic could keep moving.

EXCELLENT weekend. Weather was in the low to mid 40's in the mornings and only mid 70's in the afternoons. Great camping weather. I'm looking forward to seeing others' pictures and also looking forward to next year.

To those who weren't able to make it, you were missed. Hopefully we will see you next year.

I've already got a commitment at church for that weekend. Y'all will have a great time I know.

Pac, remind me what ARROW stands for, please.

Gulf Mt. Oct 14th. Dat's what I'm talk'n about. Spent this past weekend there waiting on the bear that has been hanging around my place. But he was a no show. Deer are hitting the white oak acorns close to water.   The acorns are scattered. It's pretty dry there now. Hopefully we get a little rain up there between now and then. The river has some good hog sign on it. It is way low too. Easy to cross just about anywhere with a pair of knee boots or barefoot. See ya'll then.
You can be very productive by keeping your mouth shut, being patient and always shooting straight. It works with hunting too.  James Wells

I'll use the photos here on TG to add to mine & Bolongs photos to come up with this year's slideshow.  Got them saved in a folder and will work on the show soon as I can.
