Yesterday, at 21 paces and beyond - two 2-1/2 year olds (one 9-point, the other an eight) and a basket rack all three sparring and shoving each other around,,, and a free roaming house cat, and gobs of tree squirrels and grinnies.

A yearling spike, 2 bald eagles, various species of tweetie birds, and heard a bunch of turkeys.

I was not hunting but my wife and I went for a 4 wheeler ride from camp.

About 10 min from camp we were on a trail and encountered a cow Moose. She was laying off the trail about 20 yards or less just watching us ride by. We stoped and watched her a few min then she got up so we continued our ride.

Of course no camera or cell phone to take a pic. We finished the ride around the loop ( about half hour or more) and came back to see if she was still there. We didn't see her at first so decided to turn on the trail where she was laying before.

My wife was ahead of me and when she started down the trail the Moose stood up which was 10 or 15 yards from my wife lol. We couldn't back up fast enough and we left. Did not want to get the Moose mad lo.

Turkey hunting this morning in my Double Bull...had a BIG 8 point walk right by like it wasn't even there...15yds!

One problem, our deer season doesn't open till this coming Saturday.

Doe came 5 minutes before him and walked off snorting at the blind. And even the little buck trailing behind the big boy was nervous as heck looking as he walked by.....big boy could care less.

He's big!

I had the same 2 fawns walk by me 4 times. The last time the brought another fawn I should have removed them from the gene pool.

Nice way to go. Looks like you might be a little happy in that picture.

Nothing showed to my calling yesterday but two jack rabbits ,seen lots of them and buches of cotontails . Ground squirrels and the back end of a redtail after it swooped me .

Went out with my wife. Was going to put her at a place she had not been to before. We got to where I was going to have her sit. Jumped two does. Took a couple more steps and up popped two more and a very large ten point buck, about 15 yards. It did not give me a shot. Just as well, my daughter had a baby tonight and we have to leave and head north to see our new granddaughter and 5 year old grandson. And deliver a bow to the 14 year old son of the man that delivered her baby. No time to get to a hospital. All are doing fine.

Just a fox, carrying a little red sack of meat that I think used to be a squirrel.

Went with ADKmountainken to the mountain this AM.... At about 8:30 I hear a turkey gobble, then again a bit closer, and again real close.I get ready with the bow on my toe and some tension on the string. 2 toms came down headed right for my shooting lane. One was a Jake and the other....OH baby he is a slammer. Beard like a hemp rope and a chest like a oil drum. Need to go 6-8 more steps and when they go behind the big beech I can draw. Wham....they put the brakes on and did nothing. 15 minutes they just milled around in that same spot and then left the way they came. No putts ,no noise of any kind just walked away. But it was a bit of excitement for a few minutes, most I have had so far this year!!

Went out Saturday night 10/8 Saw 4 turkeys, multiple squirrels, a racoon and a guy walk past riding a horse at 15 yards (Neither the horse or the guys noticed me)  I was hunting from the ground using a bush in a bag.

Saw about two dozen turkeys over the weekend.  Got busted by a big doe with her twins while ground hunting.  She just kept coming straight at me and finally noticed me when she was about 5 yards away.  It was an area where two trails cross.  She started blowing and snorting and didn't stop until she got to the next county over.
