STOS Broadheads.....*Vanished*
« on: October 03, 2011, 08:46:00 PM »
This summer I dropped down in poundage and decided to switch from a 3 blade broadhead to a 2 blade. I bought and tuned my bow with some STOS 130 gr. broadheads and 25 gr. adapters. I get them shooting good, KME scarey sharp and decide to buy a few packs of them....They are *Gone--Vanished--Disappeared* from all the archery stores. They say that they are having issues getting them. Whats the deal? I need some. Anyone know their where-a-bouts or the scoop?
Thanks
Mark

I don't think you will notice the difference shooting the STOS 145's instead. 125 gn Zwickeys, and 125 gn Eclipse will work too.

STOS tend to be a wee bit harder I think, Bjorn, but can't prove that... heard it thru a source I trust though.

In today's economy, there may be more and more causalties of 'war'. I'm finding more of things I cherished vanishing similarly.

Good luck finding.

see if Tim at Braveheart has some, he is a sponsor. I think possibly Magnus was making them and the trad line of magnus was sold, I know magnus was making the original woodsman head and they (three rivers) too are looking for a new maker for the head, last time I tried to order woodsman heads on line they were not available.

No, Magnus made the Snuffer, not the Woodsman. They are similar, but not the same. I don't know about the Stos, but I don't believe that was Magnus either. Magnus had their own traditional two blade.

I personally tried that route myself a month or so back and they had none available, had sent all of their stock to distributers.

I don't know what happened to them as said above the Magnus trad line was sold, and they made the stos and original series woodsman.

30 coupe I know the difference between a snuffer and original woodsman and magnus did indeed produce the woodsman for 3 rivers. I was just told by a employee there two days ago that three rivers is looking for someone to produce them since magnus sold  the traditional line, and will focus on stingers.

I just received a pack of 160's from Todd at STOS. E-mailed direct and he sent them with an invoice. No pre-payment. THAT impressed me. He didn't have any 145's on hand though.
