Arrow holder demand question - Updated information!
« on: October 04, 2011, 10:47:00 PM »
I was wondering how much demand / interest there would be for an arrow holder that has been proven reliable to release totally silent at the draw and could be easily removed in a second without leaving any marks or residue on your bows?

There would be a ton of demand. If people could look at it and see it were easily made, there would be none.

Basically I am doing some market research to see if I should invest in the tooling to mass produce it as well as all of the other costs associated with producing the part, packaging, and the legal requirements.  The way I got it figured out so far, I need to sell at least 1000 units just to break even on the investment based on a selling price of $8.95 each.  With this design, you do not need to have more than one as it is easily transferred from bow to bow.  The only difference is if you would have a recurve and a longbow, then you would likely need a version of each model. In all reality, do you folks really think there is a demand for in excess of 1000 pcs. nationwide for something like this?

Is it a significant improvement over this one?

I'm assuming one could just buy one that is commercially made, remove the adhesive and replace with the 3M product that hold yet releases when pulled off.

Good idea! I am all over that one. I have on holder left and two bows I want to hunt.

I am not sure if that will help you sell more or less units, but count me in for one.

For better sticking power, leave the adhesive on the holder and then attach the 3M one to that.  No chance of it coming off.

Think of it this way, 1000 units is 20 per US State.  If you have a good product, it will sell.  There are 35,000 TradGang members.  Make sure you have done your research to make sure it occupies a unique enough niche.

I would think they would sell pretty good. I would take a couple myself.

I believe that this design is far better than the Kwik-lock design.  This is easily removed for when you are shooting targets, it is more reliable and it is just as quiet.  Just so everyone knows who has expressed interest, it will likely be a couple of months before I can go into production of them.  I Really appreciate the feedback and when and if I decide to do this, I will be sure to have some of you folks do some free testing for me!

Anyone that hunts could stand to own at least one, and I would be in for at least 3 of 'em.

I love my Kwik-lock's, I have them on all my bows...but if this one is better...I'd sure use them!
