The only way I ever overcame the double edge was to sharpen each edge with a single bevel. They are a pain to sharpen and, IMO are not a very good head. Good for small game.
A better three blade similar to the MA is the Bodkin, but they may not be around any more. They made a small and larger size. Only one I have left has a meat saw cut part way through it from one of my Dad's deer.
He would not shoot anything but a Bodkin or Bear Razorhead.
For big game, I've pretty much gone to a good two blade and left the three and four blades behind.
