W&W windstorm carbon limbs, any good??
« on: October 07, 2011, 01:45:00 AM »
I found a set of these for a pretty good price and was wondering if they were worth buying.    I have a 13" zipper riser on the way and figured a set of these at 46# ought to work out to about 58lbs on the zipper riser and would make good hunting limbs.   They also have the windstorm glass/wood limbs even cheaper in 42#.

Any experience with these limbs?

Thanks

I got a set of like new Windstorms in a trade a couple of years ago.  I put them on a Hoyt Excel riser, they were a fine shooting set of limbs in my opinion. You'll have to camo them though, they have a bright silver paint job with a shiny clearcoat on them.

Can't go wrong with Win & Win limbs. If they are the carbon core they are better than the wood....but still...you won't be disappointed.

I shoot windstorms on my 23 in Hoyt Excel for Indoors and they are terrific limbs for the bucks. I would highly reccommend them.

I'm glad to hear they are good limbs.  I just ordered a set of long #46 limbs.    They should come in around #58 on a 13" zipper riser and make for some good hunting limbs.

I'm going to try to paint them ASAT camo like AMD did his stallion.   Hopefully it will turn out as well.

thanks guys

My son used the KAP (still made by W&W) Windstorm for about a year. I use Win and Win Inno's for my target recurve. Like others have said, they are a very good brand.

Too bad I didn't get to you before you ordered, I have a set of PSE X-Pressions (again made by W&W) carbon foams 44#'s longs used for sale at a great price.
