Here is a beautiful pic taken on Trail Camera. How long is the Beard?

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!

If I had to guess 10.5" which is what I'm doing, but plenty long enough in my book!!! Nice bird!!

Can't give you an exact measurement but i would be ground checking him if he walked out in front of my blind!

WOW! I am guessing 12"-13". That is quite a trophy Gobbler.

I don't turkey hunt. Spring time means I'm on the water fishin!

I'd say long as hell!!

Hey bud, Did you realize those are two different birds?

The bird in the 1st pic, is the bird in the back in the 2nd pic....

The taxidermist/turkey nut in me had me noticing the underdeveloped feathers on top of the primaries(common in the fall as the birds are still growing new feathers) on the bird in the first pic.

As you can see they are fully developed and nice and neat on the bird in the 2nd pic. Bird in the back has the messy underdeveloped feathers.

Both birds look to have beards at least 11" long to me, very nice!

Super looking birds!

My affliction for gobs has made it virtually impossible to cull any gob that presents an opportunity.

These prime specimens would be icing on the cake.

Guru,
Did not notice that! Thanks. There is a time lapse there. Guess my Hunting Buddy and me, might get nice birds next Spring!

I don't think those are beards, I think those are black ropes they were tied out with and they broke loose...lol

They could both use a shave.
I got a nice German Kinetic to shave them with!

I killed one with 12-1/2" beard and they look longer than that.
