Martins, Old bears, and my favorite......Bear Montana.....the Model-T Ford of factory bows. I have had 2 and would some point get another!! Just a good solid hunting bow!!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Hard to define custom. I mean a lot of bowyers today have CNC machines and what not as do Bear, Martin and others. A lot of work is still done by hand by what you call non-custom bowyers. You can actually call Bear and Martin and order a bow to your specifications, the real difference is you may not be able to choose the exact woods you want. I would say my favorite non-custom would have to be a Black Widow. Shawn

Damon Howatt Hunter and Bear Kodiak.  The Howatt Hunter feels smoother and fits hand better, but I shoot the Kodiaks consistently better for some reason. Howatt is a dacron string only bow.

THANKS guys there a lot of great bow.  I love hearing your opinons.  I know that you do get more with most custom bows, but still like to here about factory bows too.  Thanks!
