DUMB arrow making mistake!@#!
« on: October 12, 2011, 07:33:00 PM »
Ran over to a buddy's house this evening to use his arrow saw to cut a dozen Trad Only shafts. Well I didn't take my glasses...shouldn't need them for a simple task. I need 29" to bop and I SOMEHOW cut them 28 1/4"!%#@$!   :knothead:

I could understand if I'd cut them 28" or 30", but where did I come up with the 1/4"? I'd finally come up with the perfect arrow, insert, point combination and I know these will be too stiff now. DUMB ME!   :banghead:

Oh well, it is definitely not the most costly mistake I've ever made.....they are for sale by the way! LOL

Just get a heavier broadhead insert.

Now you know what's meant by "measure twice, cut once."    :nono:

I think most of us have been there when we have a cutting device in hand.  I know I have.  Shake it off and try it again.

Mike is your draw length 28"? If so you'll be ok with more tip weight. Just don't want you drawing that broadhead back over your finger if it is longer!

snag, I do draw 28" or just a touch more when all is perfect! lol! I am already shooting 635 grains and I don't think I wanna go higher. I guess I am just gonna try to sell them and pick up another dozen- and a set of 2.5 power cheaters! Mike
