Camo cloth for blind?
«

I don't usually use any type of blind but in some settings there's so little cover so I tie up some camo cloth. Trouble is it seems counter productive as it is hard to blend in the straight edges and the color/pattern is wrong.
Just wonder if any of you guys have any ideas. And yes I have even layed flat on the ground because of lack of cover.
THanks guys

What type of hunting are you doing? I have built blinds like you are describing and found it best to brush it in to break up the square lines. I also brushed it in real well behind the blind too so that it blends in and don't silhouette myself.
By the way I've used these blinds for deer hunting.

Hunter's Specialties and others sell leafy camo blind material.Rancho Safari sells blind material constructed like their shaggie coats(ghillie). Those look exceptional. These options may blend better than just camo cloth. You could also go to a craft store and find artificial branches with silk leaves and attach those leaves over your blind cloth. This time of year you can usually get them in Fall colors.

i use the leaf cut blind material/net from gander, dicks sporting goods or bass pro. pretty easy to find.
the trick is to let the fabric hang and dip between the trees and saplings it hangs from. no straight edges. you can always add some local vegetation to the net as well.
sometimes i put it behind me, especially if i am above the game. back cover can be more important than fore cover.
