"Bows on the Little Delta" is a good read. This is coming from a highschool student who doesnt like to read. Favorite book I have ever read.

All of the above, plus "My neck of the Woods" Bryce Lambley, "The Best of Traditional Bowhunter" various authors, "Fred Bears Field Notes" Fred Bear, many others are listed in 3Rivers and Kustom King's catalogs. Also, you can't go wrong with a subscription to Traditional Bowhunter magazine...

Asbell's books are very good. The hunting stories are great, very humorous. I can't shoot a bow the way he advocates but the book is full of good information. Byron Ferguson's book is very good also.

For someone just getting into traditional archery, I'd recommend "The Traditional Bowhunter's Handbook" by T.J. Conrads.  There's a wealth of info in there from bowhunting history to bows to arrows to accessories....and on and on.  Great book!

I recently read. "From the Den of the Old Bowhunter" it's a collection of stories from Chet Stevenson... an Oregon Legend. Anyway, I enjoyed that more than any "archery" book I have read. Granted it was all about the area of Oregon that I was living in and the stories are very old school... making all their own stuff. Taking a train or wagon to hunts.. some questionable shots  :) ... great read.  I looked and I think Kustom King has it.

I also loved reading how it was done "back in the day" through the eyes of Chet Stevenson. The author Nick Nott is going to be giving a talk on Chet and the book during the PBS 50th banquet in Portland next year in March.

I always enjoyed all of E.Donnell Thomas' books and anything by the Wensels is great. For all around though my favorite has been "From the Den of Thee Olde Bowhunter".  Fascinating reading.
