Just purchased some new Gold Tips for my son. Has anyone had any experience with footing 15/35 Gold Tips ? What size aluminum shaft will fit over them ? We'll be thankful for any help.

I assume they are Trads? I believe the closest common size would be 2117.That is what is listed for the 3555 and it measures .297 and the 1535 is .296.

I have had really good luck using gorilla glue. It will expand and fill any gaps. I have yet to have one come off with this glue and have had a lot of hard hits. I even tested one shooting it into a cinder block several times and the footing was unaffected. I have only used 2117s on 35/55 and 55/75 gold tips.

How's the footing sold by 3R's? Was thinking of trying those next time I place an order.

You'll save money using old aluminum arrows and get the same results.
