New to the game
« on: July 10, 2007, 07:15:00 PM »
Hey Fellas I am knew to trad archery, computer chating and looking for info on all aspects of the stater above. I made my self a 40# hickory backed peice of maple long bow. I got the directions out of a magazine. I also bought a u-finish 50# long one and shoot them a bit. I realy need to learn about every aspect from arrows to hand placement. I've been a high tech red neck shooter for ten years so I know a little but alot of the trad. jargon sounds greek to me. Thanks Joe
I didn't surender but they made my horse surender, probly have him pulling a wagon up in Kansas I'll bet

A good place to start would be the shooters forum here.

Read and search the threads and in a month you'll be an expert! Or feel that you are!

You just hang around the Trad Gang, lots of great people willing to share knowledge.

Lots of subjects covered, just type something in the search feature and you'll have tons to read on that subject.

One topic per thread is always good, get more specific to what you really want to know and someone will chim right on in!

Hey, that quote of yours, is it from The Outlaw Josie Wales? I'm thinkin' it is, can't remember the fellas name that said it though.
"A friend of mine said that I'm lucky, I told him luck has nothing to do with the life I chose, we choose the life we have and don't have, so choose wisely"...Kingwouldbe

I'm pretty sure it was Chief Dan George that said that.  It is a line in Josey Wales.
