I don't understand this.  After all the contacting and info put out by the members of this site to the manufacturer to get these heads made, why would anyone come on the exact thread and offer something that has been ask for and post something for sale????  It was ask over a week ago if anyone had any.  Now that the manufacturer is willing to make them, all of a sudden they show up for sale...unbelievable.

This thread has been up since Oct 20, and you have been here 5 days of that since.  Now you post on a thread that has no place to be selling items to start with, but was intended to give the manufacturer the chance to gain from those who whated his heads produced again.  Yeah, I find it unbelivable that you would do this not only to the manufacturer right under his nose, but not offer your heads when the thread was started and you were here.  So yeah, let the mods handle it.

I looked at these heads on the Abowyer site and it looks like the whitetail has a curved edge--what are you guys that have used them using to sharpen them with? and do you find it pretty easy to get a good edge on the curved single bevels? I've never tried to sharpen a curved single bevel before and was just wondering what ya'lls experience has been with them.
thanks, Rick

The paper wheel or KME that Abowyer sells make them WICKED sharp.

Rick

I use a fine tooth Grobet file....and they are nasty sharp...not a lot of pressure either...just light strokes on the bevel side....and knock the bur off the back.

Its really easy when you have a factory bevel as good as Abowyers.

Rick These abowyers come nasty sharp out of the pack.

I think I'll try and find one of the files like Terry uses to touch mine up when needed. Where can I get one Terry?
