In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Hunted a few times in the corn a few years ago...took some pics of the blind once I had it where I wanted it.

December 27th two years ago hunting in an ice storm.

Typical view of my gear from my tree stand.

And another view from the stand but not showing the bow...

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

Here is a pic a few years ago of my daughter shooting "Peace-Out", a snaky limbed  osage bow that she named after I made it and gave it to her.  She is shooting one of the arrows that Dick Palmer made and gave to her for her birthday.  As you can tell she was very determined to figure out how far it would shoot, lol.

Izzy, I really like your lawn furniture, I can see that you're a man that likes his comforts....

SlowBowke

New to me, and had to take a few photos. Still hoping for a shot with it this winter.

Just an old Bear to some, a real honor to me. The first and only 59K Ive had in my hand bought sight unseen but for a few photos and a true gem.

The arrow came with it with a quiver full of them, glove included that amazingly fit me.

I can't help but feel I "owe" the original owner one or two shots afield with it as he hunted with it (sans the feather rest that was brittle and wont support my "normal" heavy arrows anyway) in way of thanks for taking so great of care of it.....and in his honor.

Didn't know him but we are definately members of the same trad family.

God Bless
