Interests in a pass along of a HITMAN LONGBOW
« on: October 22, 2011, 07:37:00 PM »
Wanted to see if there would some interest in a bow pass around?  If there is some interest then the person receiving it would be responsible to ship out with insurance of a cost of $25 to the next person in line.  The persons shooting the bow would write a true account of there experience with the bow.  What is a feasable time between each person?  So let me know because I have a bow in the works that has black onyx strataply (actionwood)handle with some green half moons separated by grey glass.  Also, I would like to know what a average draw weight that most folks would be comfortable shooting?
Thanks and good shooting,
Dave

I think it would be great, even if I don,t think I could participate... But I will chime in as for specs... I think in between 45 and 50# would be the best all around draw wheight. As for the time pass with each person, less than 2 weeks wouldn't be anought and more than 2 weeks it would take for ever to have a decent amount of shooters using it!
Just my thoughts...

Would the bow be either left or right handed for us southpaws. Along with would be long enough for those of us with a 31" draw? I think 2 weeks between shoots is plenty of time.

Let's see about how many folks there are and which are left or right handed.  I wouldn't have any problems with making another handle that would accommodate the southpaws by now means.  I would have then a right and left handed riser, one of each of course.  So lets keep this going and see about the interests.
Thanks for the participation,
Dave

Southpaw here.

Could a dual shelf bow be a possibility?

Or is this a takedown type?

50# @ 28 is a good round poundage....

I'm righty and would be interested in anything 65# and under.  I also agree that two weeks is plenty.

Lefty, 45-50max, but I am a beginner looking for my dream bow so have not built up the weight yet. If I could get second-3rd week of Jan I could even use it on a deer hunt that has plenty of game opportunities!!!

Hi Dave, you know I've been itching to get my hands on one of your bows for quite a while now! 45-55 with two risers for two weeks sounds about perfect to me.

That is awesome and I think we will go in order of the threads for folks.  I will get a lefty going and get some pics up of the handle.  I should have some glass in this week and get going on the limbs 45-50 lbs sounds about great.  I think that a 62" AMO bow should be good as well.
Thanks and good shooting,
Dave

Here is the order of folks as of now.  I think that a max of 15 people is a good amount of folks for the first pass around.
