For the back quiver challenged
« on: October 24, 2011, 01:13:00 PM »
I want to share something that really works for me while using my back quivers.

Just click on the picture to view the video.

I hope this might help someone else who is back quiver challenged as I was.

God bless,Mudd

OK, I give up. We've played Stump the Dummy and I'm stumped. What am I looking at?

The simple leather strap that's attached to the middle of the quiver strap that allows me to pull the quiver back up to the point that the arrows are easily retrieved.

I did this because I couldn't do the quiver bump correctly.

Told ya' I was a PC Dummy. Nice video my friend. My American Leathers back quiver works just fine, but I can see how this would be a great addition for some.

Thanks for taking the time to make this one.

I was visiting with Nate Steen not long ago and he encouraged me to make this video and share it since not everyone can make the quiver bump work for them.

It requires so little extra motion that it's about the same amount as the quiver bump.

American Leathers had a series of pictures with James showing how their style can be used. In an old publication "The Complete Book of Archery" by Louis Hochman, there are two chapters about Howard Hill and he talks about and illustrates how he uses the back quiver. I can see the idea and why it works for a quiver that is a different style, and more upright. Good idea

I would like to thank Bud B for making this quiver for me.

Without it I might have come up with the idea eventually but having that ring in there, it just seemed like the logical thing to do.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Good idea Mudd. I am just not flexible enough to be able to reach back there and pull an arrow out of the quiver. So I always have to pull on the strap to hoist the quiver up and over my shoulder a bit. This would make for far less acrobatics....

Thanks for Sharing...been thinking about a back quiver....looks like I may incorporate your suggestion due to torn left rotator cuff.  Thanks again..

When I am wearing my Filson double camo, I have been using a 22 inch right hand quiver to accommodate the larger coat, which of course forced me to use a right hand bow.  Tried it with my 20 inch Miller and the big coat and it works. thanks for the tip.

Nice thanks my 8yr old son has been struggling with this. Should do the trick.  Only suggestion is next time turn and put an arrow in the dog in background of video would make for some good footage.
