Making meat- before and after the kill.
« on: October 25, 2011, 10:10:00 AM »
At the end of a two-week hunt, I was packed up and ready to leave. Sitting on a bench in the front yard of the cabin, these two showed up, fed a while, and bedded in the high grass over the fence.

I went to the truck and retrieved my bow, and started to approach the weed patch just in time for my friends from ND and FL to drive up. They watched me shoot the young one after the doe spooked. A heart shot, and he didn't go more than 40 yards, falling in full view of everyone! Weirdest hunt I ever had!
