SUICIDE TIPS
«

Well got this today as a gift. Came with 4 sets of limbs 3 longbow sets and 1 set static tip recurve. But what really made me look was this set of limbs with back nocks which I call suicide tips
. This is a really great shooting bow. I got one like this a few months back but gave it to shell( she really just took it as hers.) These tips are suppose be make the bow faster? It is absolutely dead in the hand and very quiet. I like it alot.<><

Ok the kid that made this bow and gave to me,. Is on the phone with me as I type this. He wanted me to let everyone know that the limbs on the bow in the first pic are the Recurve limbs and were not made for this riser( I have to modify them to match up.) Chris I'll see ya at Horicon.<><

Why do you call them suicide tips or back nocks? I must be missing something.

How are the back nocks working out. That would save a bunch of time on the tip work and thining that area wold remove some un-needed material

Well SOS heck i have no idea why they call the back nocks. I call the suicide tips because if ya could see them in the flesh you would shake your head. They are SMALL and THIN!! Crooked stick I only shot them for a little while but they seem to work good. The wight on these limbs is light some where in the 40# range is my guess. I did shoot it through the Chrono with 3555 GT 30" 125gr tips and was getting 170s. <><

Frank,
Why do you say the limbs in the first pic are recurve limbs? Looks like longbow to me, or are ya talking the pic of the riser?
Nice looking bow, kinda looks like, cannot remember the name, but the bowyer just retired,Oh Yeah, G&L Mantis.

Danny kinda looks like JC bows he posted on another thread. It shoots great.Dave the riser is real small and fits my big mit real nice. Danny the first pic of the riser has the curve limbs. The pics of the whole bow has the Back nocks. Heres a pic of the static tips.

Hey Danny, I have a set with bear tracks. They look great on the Blacktail or the Acaidian.

Well I shot the suicide tips through the chrono today after work. They shot a 5575 30" Gold Tip trad with a 125 gr tip avg 176 and a 3555 30" 3555 glod tip trad with a 100gr tip 184. I scaled the bow at 45#@29" and I draw 29". Bow is 56 amo and has a D97 string with silencers. All in all not too dang bad.<><
