Palmer Shooters-Which String?
« on: November 02, 2011, 03:08:00 PM »
For those shooting Palmer recurves, what kind of FF string are you using and how many strands? The string he ships with the bow is 20 strands which seems like WAY too many.
Thanks

Non fastflite 14 strand B50 flemish strings on three Palmers ranging from 52-54#@ 28" and my draw length is 29 1/4". I've found that the brace height on Palmers is very critical to making it quiet. Even more so than all the other brands of bows I own.
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!
