My bowhunting yard Gnome(Butch)
« on: November 03, 2011, 07:39:00 AM »
I'm starting to get excited!!

This weekend I'm heading out for about a week to 10 days at "The Farm" compliments of one of my very best friends, Kenny Jackson aka "Cobweb".

To make it even better, once again I'll be joined by my own personal "Yard Gnome" buddy Butch Speer.

Cobweb and I have been getting together for years for deer season but about 3 years ago we managed to get Butch to drive up and join us.

Last year things didn't quite go as planned in that Butch had just arrived when his phone rang and within an hour he was back on the road headed back home to take care of a personal emergency.

I am hoping we don't have a repeat of any kind like that this year.

I won't be dragging my trailer this year as Cobweb has worked hard getting the cabin back in shape.

No computer or cell phone signal but I will make sure the camera makes the trip.

God bless,Mudd

PS: This is the same spot that earlier this week while helping Cobweb put up his blind over looking the pond and clover patch we watched a nice sized bruiser locked onto a doe who was standing with her mouth open and a smaller buck hanging back hoping to see how it's done I guess..lol(It was 76 degrees but I think she was mouth breathing because she had to stay on the run to keep big boy off of her. He on the other hand wasn't about to let two human beings stop him from keeping a close eye on his intended darling.

Here's a not so good picture of the cabin I took yesterday and the only shot I got before my batteries died.

I am home so newly recharged batteries will go back with me tomorrow.
