x4 on Maddog. I think his wait list is nearing 6 mos or more though. Well worth the wait.

I second the Mad dogs and Black Rhino makes bows for kids too. When my kids were that age we would buy used Li'l Bears on the auction site and just put them back on when we were ready to move  to the next one. I made bows for them as well.

My son has two Elk Ridge Archery Longbows.  The first one at age 3 well be a keeper.  His present bow will be traded/sold when he outgrows it.  Have seen and handled the St Jow River bows and they look to be decent also.

I can't wait for Christmas this year.  I received my son's Maddog Pup longbow a couple weeks ago.  I think I'm more excited than he is.  Great little bow.  Sorry to hear Mike is backed up.  He's a good guy to work with.

Good luck,

Our kids have all shot the Black Rhino bows and loved them.  Recipt of the bows after order is quick.  I don't think you'd be disappointed.

Maddog bows look great too and will strongly consider one for our 7 yr old as she is ready to graduate to a bigger bow.

Another vote for Maddog.  Around $100 and he throws in a few arrows just the right size.

We have black rhino.  Very nice bow.  Really good trade in program too, for when they grow into the next size up

I bought my son (5) the pilgrim youth longbow from 3 rivers, he is quite tall and had grown out of the Samick angel recurve he has been shooting since he was 3.... Here is a pic so you can get an idea of the length... It is slightly longer than he is tall, but he shoots it well and will last a few years... The shorter version, the squirt was not much longer than the bow he had...
