No longer looks this nice but this was my first knife to exhibit my "JS" stamp after receiving my Journeyman Smith ranking in 2008.
She has been my deer dressing knife since.

When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

This is one i had made, It is Desert Ironwood and Moose antler on D2 tools steel, and then had Scott Teaschner make one of his awesome horizontal sheaths for it. This is the first year i used it, but it was on ,y belt the entire AK moose season, and probly will ne from here on out. At least until i get an Anderson Forge in a TD design.

Nice knives guys

Here are few of my favorites. I don’t own any custom knives though there are a few I’d like to own…

My factory made sheath knives when they were still made in the USA

One of these always goes in my pocket to the deer woods

Some “re-purposed” Old Hickory blades…..

This one has been on my belt for many years and has been to Canada and Alaska.  It was made and donated by Jeff Givens and I snagged it on the silent auction at a United Bowhunters of Illinois Banquet.  It has been a true companion that takes and holds a great edge.  Thanks, Jeff!
