Good luck buck
« on: November 04, 2011, 07:29:00 PM »
I had planned on waiting to shoot a buck this year with the "new to me" Firefly bow that I bought from the Classifieds from this site.

But I hunted last night and had 3 decent bucks come within range of the stand, and this was the one who acted like he owned the place.

He came up the draw grunting, and worked a scrape vigorously, and qaurtered away a "gimme" shot.

But, my string hit my binocular cover, and the arrow went 2 feet to the right of him!!!! I have never had this problem before, but will no longer wear binos in the stand!

He was not the least bit worried, and proceeded to  check does. A half an hour later he came back and offered a shot on the other side of the tree, which I made good on this time.

Not a great rack, but had LOTS of fat, and a big body.

A wonderful time of year to be in the woods!!!

LOL very happy with the deer don't get me wrong!!

Was speaking in terms of symetry and score, but that stuff doesn't matter to me anyway....
