Bow Quiver: Strap-on or inserts? 1 or 2 piece?

What are the advantages and disadvantages between 1 and 2-piece bow quivers?  It seems like a one-piece would be heavier, but more solid, especially when trying to put arrow back in with one hand while holding the bow in the other.  Is this right?

And is a strap-on quieter than using bolt-on models?  I'm not beyond putting inserts in my longbow if that gives me a more acceptable quiver set-up.

I had a 5/7 one piece quiver on my recurve (attached with riser inserts), but was surprised at how noisy it made the bow.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

I hunt with both types of bows also and use a boa and a Jenkins arrowmaster. This morning I hunted with my pchx and the boa. The arrowmaster is also usefull when I hunt in a different way or sometimes use for 3D. The boa also fits my plx just fine, just need to wipe limb with a damp cloth first so it doesn`t slip around. With the longbow the boa gives the added advantage of weight and bow stability, aids in more accurate shooting. Hope this gives you some ideas. DI

I used great northern for years, just got a Kanati slim jim and love it.

I just got a Kanati Slim Jim strap on quiver and it is great!! The Fast Deployment Straps make taking the quiver off and on so easy.

My riser is pretty short so a bolt on wasn't real practical, so I guess a bolt on won't work as well on certain bows due to angles and riser length.  A strap-on is just more versatile and I find them to be quiet.  Second kanati as a nice quiver.

Is there an advantage/disadvantage to a 1-piece Kanati versus a 2-piece Kanati, for example?
