Finally Harvested My First Trad Deer
« on: November 08, 2011, 03:10:00 PM »
It took a few years but I finally connected with my recurve on a deer.
It was October 28th six inches of snow and a beautiful morning on stand.  At 830 four does meandered into my shooting lane I picked the biggest of the four waited and picked my spot and the arrow flew true.
A little further back then I would have liked it but it did the job.  Heritage 250s, Snuffers, and my baby...Assenheimer recurve.

Well, sir... you won't soon forget the freak snowstorm of October, 2011!  Some of us will remember losing power for 2 days (or more) but you shot your first trad deer!  And had the added blessing of snow to help track it, too!

Congratulations!  It's a very rewarding feeling, ain't it?!  That venison will be the best... bon appetit!

Congrats, that snow is great for blood trailing. I hunted that storm as well but was not as fortunate.
