Age this guy

Lucky to get this guy last Fri in MO. How old do you think he is? South MO buck, no ag around anywhere. All up and down oak, hickory and cedar. The adjacent landowner had him on a trail cam about a week before.

I think this deer is past 5 1/2.  He looks like an old deer past his prime antler growing stage of life but a most excellent trophy.  Awesome deer!

Congratulations!
You could bring the lower jaw into your local state wildlife biologist. He/she could tell age the teeth for you if you are really curious.

Nice deer - congrats.  Unless they're ear tagged at birth we can only estimate.  Even using teeth is only an estimate.  He looks like he has been around a few years  - my estimate is 4+.
Enjoy the hunt!  - Mitch

Older deer--5-6.  His belly is large, his back is flat.  His horns have decent size bases but substandard growth--indicating he may be past his prime.  He's got a larger, longer nose indicative of an older deer.

I would guess 3.5 because no sag in his back at all. Also from the pics here I don't see any signs of age in his face. I may be totally wrong. Very nice Buck anyhow. Congrats.

He looks older but I would guess he is only 4 1/2. He just looks like a thick deer.
