Man, my adrenalin was pumping so hard I overdrew to 72 inches so when I released there was so much force it turned by carbon arrow inside out and would have run him through nock end first if I wasn't just a tad high.

My glove slid down my finger tip and threw off my release.

I've got a buddy that missed a big buck and his excuse was that I didn't cut a shooting lane for him:)

I was shooting to the east of my stand and the Earth's magnetic field attracted my steel broadhead to only hit the earth because the sun rises in the east and throws off the solar gamma rays in the afternoon, and the deer was not magnetic enough to compensate for the spin of the earth or the tide pull of the moon. So I missed.
I am sticking to this...

I held to long before I released and that sapling grew into the path of my arrow.

It was really cold and I didn't allow for the stiffness of the air.

I forgot I was right handed.

My facemask was crooked and because my view was slanted it threw me off balance.

I forget to put on my glasses before leaving for the woods.

I was testing to see if my efforts to silence my bow were 100% effective.

Here's one I hear all the time.

Forgot to pick a spot!

I once heard a guy who shook his hand while he released and he said,

"I was trying to feed the arrows through the trees"

Needless to say, that loud crack I heard was his arrow....hitting a tree!
Relax,
