Buck pic thru sight window
« on: November 11, 2011, 06:21:00 PM »
Sorry, but its not a slammer, mega buck of even a monster buck. But it is most certainly a trophy buck. I hunt strictly public land in the most densely populated corridor of the most densely populated state in the nation. When hunting under these conditions any deer taken with a stickbow is a trophy. The only reason this deer is not on the way to the check station is because I already shot a buck form this area (even smaller than this one)and I would actually like to see if my buddy can get a crack at it when he comes to visit in Dec..

By the way I did have a valid buck tag so I could have taken this deer if I wanted.  And besides, what a cool trophy this picture is.  Anybody who has done any outdoor photog will probably agree that it can often be harder to photo deer than to shoot them

GREAT PICTURE!!!

All that was left to do was extend your bow arm and bring the string to your face.

You let him walk!

Hopefully your pal WILL get a chance at him. In the meanwhile I wonder if he knows how close to the boogey man he was?

Way cool.

Yep. The photo is a trophy in itself.

You had him pegged and now he's on borrowed time and he doesn't even know it.

Very nice.

That's what you call counting Coup, stickbow style. Excellent pic.

Awesome pic. You are right, a pic like that is harder than taking a shot.
