Fleece all the way (performance/cost) and my two favorites are Predator and ASAT.
Just one more step please!

I miss the original Realtree Hardwoods     :(   About year 2000 I believe? I hate that the big name camo goes "out of style" and they quit makin the pattern. Predator camo or Natural Gear are my new favorites but selection of garments it comes on is pretty slim.. And i like cotton on the outside shell because it doesn't make that velcro noise when it touches bark like fleece does, and it doesn't pick up cuckleburrs. Wool is my favorite to layer under that. Just use a layer of each!    :D

Leafy suit. Best clothing purchase I have made. Get it big and wear over anything you want all season.

Nat Gear... fleece and finished... It matches our cover here...  Other than that.. I use some "woodsy" wool for pants and under the Nat gear....

I like the mossy oak break up in the dark woods where I live.
They quit making it also.
I like fleece or cotton. The newer synthetics seem to have a shiny sheen to them.

I like simple camo. Cabelas outfitter is great, military woodland, waterfowl camo, etc. A lot of the stuff out today is too dark. From a distance you look like a dark blob. Any earthy plaids will do just fine.
I'm a wool guy, no question about it. Wooltimate fleece is killer too.

A combo of VIAS, Predator, ASAT and wool paids. Contrasting shapes that break up the human profile, in colors that game actually see.

Patterns that looks like picture-perfect imitations of vegetation, and that are predominantly green, are for bagging hunters, not game, imo. Turkey excluded.

I sure like the looks of Asbell's wool selection.  The colors and patterns look great... open enough to break up your outline.  Can't say I've tried it though as there is not much use for wool in the tropics.  :dunno:
Most of the big brand camo patterns look great up close, but from any distance they melt into a solid form.

i like any of the predator patterns in fleece for early in the season, later on it has to be wool. #1 on my wish list would be a kom hooded sweatshirt made with gray wolf wool in the fall gray or deception pattern

I mostly use woodland/outfitter camos and plaids in wools these days.

My 10 year old son has been wearing ASAT and the deer look right through him!

Of all the big name stuff though, I like Realtree "AP" and "Hardwoods"  the best.  I have some rain gear and light weight clothes in those.  They're lighter and more contrasty than most others.  I have some old Skyline "Apparition"... that was pretty open and contrasty.  I've always found the concept of camo to be fun... I'd also like to try Predator.

But... I'm actually thinking of trying a guillie next year - all the comments here on TG about them sound like they'd be lots of fun too!

Sitka gear Optifade - either forest or open country, unless it's hot, then an ASAT leafy suit over jeans and t-shirt.
